Modern Shorts A Contemporary Romance Collection is comprised of five short stories, each with a contemporary setting and heterosexual liaisons, ranging from romance to erotica. Themes include exploring sexual fantasies, taking sensual risks, deepening relationships. Each story is written in first person with a woman in her prime (that is, thirty-five years or older) as the central heroine. Except “Object” which is written in third person from a male point-of-view.
This collection includes the following previously published contemporary romance short stories:
A moody romance set in California on September 11, 2001. The possibility of loss spurs a woman to reminisce about her once-perfect marriage. “Silent Sky” was originally published by the Naughty Literati in Naughty Reunions: Return to Romance, then republished in Getting Naughty: Twenty Tantalizing Tales.
